Classic Shrimp Scampi

- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup dry white wine (or broth)
- ¾ tsp kosher salt (or to taste)
- ⅛ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1¾ lb large/extra-large fresh shrimp, shelled
- ⅓ cup chopped parsley
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Cooked pasta or crusty bread
Instructions
- Melt butter with oil in a large skillet. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add wine, salt, red pepper, and black pepper. Simmer until wine reduces by half (~2 min).
- Add shrimp; sauté until just pink (2–4 min). Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
